Rubies symbolize passion, strength, and prosperity—all qualities that reflect the enduring power of the LGBTQ+ movement. "Forty & Fierce" embodies the boldness and brilliance of our journey, reminding us that Pride is not just a celebration but a movement that continues to shine with courage and unity.

About Sonoma County Pride

Sonoma County Pride is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating, empowering, and supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Sonoma County. Our mission is to promote equal rights, build connections, and celebrate the diversity and beauty of the LGBTQ+ population through events, education, and advocacy. We believe in creating a safe, inclusive space where people of all identities can come together to be proud of who they are.

Sonoma County Pride is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and creating spaces where love, respect, and equality are the cornerstones of everything we do. Every year, our team of volunteers works tirelessly to organize the parade, festival, and other events that bring our community together and inspire future generations of LGBTQ+ activists, allies, and advocates.

The Sonoma County Pride Festival and parade are admission-free, thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, including the City of Santa Rosa and Visit Santa Rosa. Our festival and parade continue to grow because of the generosity of our community and the dedication of our volunteers.

In 2024, we saw an increase in attendance, with nearly 20,000 attendees and a record number of 100 parade contingents, a 40% increase year-over-year. Our commitment to community support is stronger than ever, with Sonoma County Pride distributing $20,000 back into the local LGBTQ+ community, representing 25% of our net proceeds.

We are grateful to our sponsors and supporters who help us provide critical support to organizations making a real difference in Sonoma County, whether through direct assistance to LGBTQ+ individuals or advocating for underserved communities.

Previous Recognition and Awards:

2022: Voted Best LGBTQ+ Event in Sonoma County by the Bohemian.

2023: Voted Best LGBTQ+ Event in Sonoma County by the Bohemian.

2019: Awarded a Special Merit Award by the City of Santa Rosa and named Best LGBTQI Event by the North Bay Bohemian for two years running.

Special Notes

Parade Entry Guidelines: Each parade entry is allotted space for their unit only—participants are responsible for providing their own vehicle, float, signage, and any other materials needed for their entry. All entries must manage their own setup, transportation, and care of equipment and personal belongings throughout the duration of the parade.

Event Terms and Cancellation Policy

Registration fees are not refundable after Friday, May 23, 2025. Cancellation and a request for a refund from the vendor committee must be requested by that date via email at Parade@SonomaCountyPride.org.

The Sonoma County Pride Parade is a rain or shine event. All exhibitors/vendors must be prepared for rain, sun, or heat. Unless Sonoma County Pride cancels the parade, all exhibitors/vendors will be expected to participate, and no application fees will be refunded.
