About This Event

Thank you for being a friend and supporter of the Vashon Island Strawberry Festival. For more than a century, the festival has been a celebration of summertime and a showcase of our community and culture. It is with that community in mind that we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s event. We are deeply disappointed to report that the 111th Strawberry Festival will be held in 2021.


We arrived at this decision after long discussions with island residents and businesses. While it is not what we want to see happen, it’s the path that we believe best protects the health and vibrancy of our community. The majority of our vendors, craftspeople, and other booths represent on-island businesses and organizations. We cannot in good conscience put them or other attendees at risk.


The Chamber is hard at work exploring alternative events that could be held while still respecting social distancing guidelines, and we look forward to updating you on the next steps. Until then, we want to apologize for any inconvenience and explain your choices for how to move forward.


We recognize that some of you have already prepaid your registration fees. Those who have paid in advance can choose to proceed in one of three ways:

* Apply your payment to the 2021 Strawberry festival. We’ll see you then!

* Request a refund of your payment, which we expect to pay within 90 days.

* Donate all or part of your payment to help support the Chamber. Thank you!


For businesses that can afford it, donating your payment to the Chamber is greatly appreciated. The Strawberry Festival is not only an opportunity to highlight our local businesses and culture, it also accounts for a major part of the Chamber’s funding. We are grateful to those of you who can help sustain us so we can continue to support our community.
