Virtual Event Hosted by EventHub for Seattle Pride

The weekend of June 26th – 28th a special, one-of-a-kind event will take place online through a virtual event. Together For Pride is a virtual LGBTQIA+ Pride celebration that features three days of performances, speakers, and activities. EventHub has partnered with Seattle Pride, Seattle PrideFest, and the Gender Justice League to launch the first-of-its-kind virtual pride vendor village.

The first Seattle Pride Parade took place in 1974 with less than 200 people marching. Then three years after, the first “Gay Pride Week” was declared by Seattle Mayor Wes Ulman. Now over 45 years later, it is going virtual through the help of EventHub’s new Virtual Expo/Vendor Village Platform. Once the fourth-largest pride event in the country, the Seattle Pride Parade attracted 500,000 members of the LGBTQIA+ community, friends, and allies. Celebrations changed course this year due to COVID-19.

“Seattle Pride is excited to incorporate EventHub’s virtual vendor village into our first-ever virtual Pride celebration,” said Krystal Marx, Seattle Pride executive director. “When so many aspects of event planning require attention to detail, communicating with numerous stakeholders, and the ongoing desire to have an attractive, user-friendly experience for our attendees, it has been a relief to find such a great online version of what is typically an in-person experience.”

Each organization will take over a day of programming to provide a full weekend of virtual events. On June 26th the event will run from 5 pm to 10 pm. Programming will be provided by the Gender Justice League (producer of Trans Pride). Then Pride Fest (producer of PrideFest at Seattle Center) will be hosting for 12 hours on Saturday, June 27th from noon to midnight. Finally, on June 28th Seattle Pride (producer of Seattle Pride Parade & Seattle Pride in the Park) will host four program tracks that support its Many Faces, One Pride focus.

The programming will be streamed through EventHub’s Virtual Village. This will allow Seattle Pride’s community partners and vendors to be spotlighted and supported. Over the course of the weekend, virtual attendees can search for specific partners or browse and discover new ones. Then they can visit their virtual booths where they can shop their products and services. Importantly, attendees can engage in a real-time video chat with the host of each booth during scheduled vendor village hours. This provides a truly interactive and unique experience for participants, sponsors, and vendors alike.
